Do You Lack Time?
Art: The climber of the spiral clock – Antoine Mansour

We are living in a busy world.

Our lives are filled with lots of important things to be done.

Some we accomplish while others we don’t.

Why don’t we complete all of them? Perhaps we are too busy and run out of time.

Time… is the only thing we lack in this world.

But… is it really so? Do we really lack time?

According to an old sayings… in fact, time doesn’t exist at all. So… is it possible to lack something that doesn’t exist?

It seems that it’s exactly like an unfulfilled dream.

What do we do whenever we want to fulfill a dream that has never materialized in the material world? We need someone who is an inventor. This person will have enough power to pursue his dream until it becomes a reality.

So… what if we would become our own Time inventors?

Sounds weird, doesn’t it? How can we invent Time?

People have been talking about Time for a long time. This would mean it has already been invented.

Yes, so? If it has already been invented… how come you still lack it?

Do we need to buy it? Who will sell us some Time so that we can have enough of it for ourselves?

What would we need to purchase it with, in order to have enough Time for all the things we must accomplish?

But… I am wondering now… why should we buy what someone else has invented? Why loose time acquiring the resources that will buy us some Time?

If we’re going to need Time to find an exchange anyway… why wouldn’t we just go directly to the root?

What if we ourselves become Time inventors?

Do you lack anything to accomplish this?

I dare you to think more on this. 🙂

  1. I just was nearly at the end of sharing my thoughts when my browser quite and erased my copy of about 500 words give or take and so now I will attempt to “invent more time” out of the already 168 hours of time that we were all given this week.

In case you think that I am being funny, I wish i was not as that is what happen to me and I even sent the report to apple as they ask you if you desire to send an error report, and I usually do not do this but I was a bit put out especially, since I “don’t have time” for this. Ok here I am being a bit funny!!! LOL

Now I will attempt to reconstruct my, thoughts. Wow what a lesson on “I DON’T THINK I AM REALLY IN CONTROL OF ANYTHING. That being said, I will just smile as I feel that even in adding to what MC has shared, that what has transpired in putting forth effort and laboring, which the first draft just really poured out me so it was almost effortless so now comes the real work of reconstructing the thoughts that flowed naturally and well it all applies to the topic presented of being a inventor of time.

Now I will attempt to condense what I shared earlier.

A note for the webmaster before I continue…. maybe an autosave can be installed so as to help one not lose their copy here. 🙂

I desire to first answer the question, and I see I am playing a game here as I am taking a dare which LOL I will have to explore the world of accepting dares, but back to the question, of is there anything that we lack to become time inventors and then I will work backwards to more provide a basis for why I answered the question, in the manner that I did. I will also separate my thoughts as to better examine the different elements involved.

    1. Discipline seems to be the greatest factor or the driving force that will assist us in becoming “time inventors.” As I write, this I feel that this lesson, was chosen just for me this morning, from nature itself, as this word discipline, will be the death of me if I don’t somehow overcome it. 🙂 I am almost certain that there are many that may have feelings such as I am expressing here.
    2. We are speaking of being inventors and there are all kinds of inventors. Inventors that use information alone, inventors that use material matter and already existing inventions and inventors that combine the two. Recently, I discovered, there is a field referred to as knowledge creators. Hmmm?
    3. Now let’s look at time. I spent a bit of time looking at the different ways of how humans look at time. I looked at the amount of hours we have in a leap year vs. a non-leap year, in an attempt to see what we have to work with in terms of how much time, as being an efficient inventor, one must BE AWARE, of the knowledge, which is available to them. This includes the processes that they will utilize as well as the materials or devices that are currently available for their consideration.
    3. For, a seven day week, we have, 24 hours a day and 120 hour week for a 5 day week. In the Western world our work schedules are usually based on a 5 day week even though many work 6 days a week. So you see there is this constant struggle ‘TO MAINTAIN” life in the manner that we have been accustomed to, generally speaking of course.
    4. We are not certain who to credit the invention of time too, except that it seems to have been a collaboration of nature and humanity as nature appears to be the model that was provided for humanity to build better and better systems over time, for humanity to exist.
    5. Now with all these factors laid out on the inventors lab table, let’s start to do some “work” moving toward the force that moved the object, in the first place.
    6. We are told by science, to get 8 hours of sleep a night. So 8 X 5nights = 40 or 8 X 7 =56
    7. Here I am speaking of America mainly, and the traditional work week is 8 hours a day X 5 = 40
    8. 56 + 40 = 96 and continue doing the math 168 – 96 = 72 (I like 72 its a nice number)
    9. There is the 5 week work as well if you desire to use this as the basis in your calculation process for being a time inventor. 40 sleep + 40 work = 80 and 120 – 80 = 40 hours left over for the rest of life that week.
    10. There are many other factors that can be factored in depending on ones stage of life as they may be retired, single, single parent, married and having family or not, student, etc. and so the world of work may not apply to them so each one must factor in how they are systematically go about being a better inventor of time.
    11. In my first draft, I reached to thought or note 20 and I felt it was written pretty well, and it was, if I might add, but I would not have learned all that I did about time and life.
So in attempting to conclude, the reason I chose, or really after all the thoughts that came to me lead me to choosing the word disciple, as there are many angles that one might examine this word from, but I would ask you to consider connecting here the nature of time as we see that it has been imposed upon us and now contrast that with the very definition, or one usage, is that of I just was nearly at the end of sharing my thoughts when my browser quite and erased my copy of about 500 words give or take and so now I will attempt to “invent more time” out of the already 168 hours of time that we were all given this week.

    13. I feel based on the science that I understand, that humanity has arrived at a point in history where we are transitioning, so on one hand, we are being pushed forward by time, on the other hand we have to ask another question. Are we learning from nature and and the nature of time that we are really inventors of ourselves.
    14. WHAT THIS WISE WRITER MC SIMON AND HER SUPPORTING CAST BEHIND HER ALONG WITH MOTHER NATURE HAS TAUGHT ME AND ALLOWED ME TO SHARE THESE THOUGHTS WITH YOU IS THAT BASED ON SCIENCE WE MUST FOCUS ON INVENTING OR REINVENTING OUR OWN LIVES AND THAT INCLUDES OUR INDIVIDUAL COMMUNITIES! 🙂
    15. Lastly, i will add that I have 2 books on time management which on one hand I don’t have time so readily available to read, and I have a CD by the famous Stephen Covey, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. DISCIPLINE, DISCIPLINE, DISCIPLINE, DISCIPLINE, DISCIPLINE, DISCIPLINE, DISCIPLINE, DISCIPLINE, DISCIPLINE and DISCIPLINE…. IMPOSING ORDER ON OURSELVES, IMPOSING ORDER ON OURSELVES, IMPOSING ORDER ON OURSELVES, IMPOSING ORDER ON OURSELVES, IMPOSING ORDER ON OURSELVES, IMPOSING ORDER ON OURSELVES, IMPOSING ORDER ON OURSELVES, IMPOSING ORDER ON OURSELVES, IMPOSING ORDER ON OURSELVES, IMPOSING ORDER ON OURSELVES!!!!
    0. By acquiring what we lack, the DISCIPLINE OF IMPOSING ORDER UPON OURSELVES, this I feel will take us to the root and then we can possible go beyond time, which was vented out from within to begin with!!! 🙂
    1. Thank you again, MC for allowing friends to share thoughts and learn with you lessons provided by Mother Nature!! <3

    • OMG… Lee! You are fantastic!

First… I suppose I have to read several times (hmmm… should we invent number of times also and not only time?… because of your comment, my brain is now hit by the idea of… studying repetitive time 🙂 )) to grasp and to deep all the dimensions of what you are talking about.

Second… Your attempt to reconstruct the lost time, brought to surface what you thought it was lost… so same “time” you wrote the original and the reconstruction. Again my brain is hit by an idea… because of you, of course 🙂
Should we consider the overlapped time also? What if we study just a “little” the invention of a new time over an existing one… seeing which one is best to exploit?

Third… The “Do you lack time” article will be included in a book I am preparing. Can I use your answer also? It will help me demonstrating the scope of writing that book.

Fourth… Thank you for being my number one commenter. I would say that you are my number two fan (of course my husband being the number one 🙂 )
